Dr. Sheva Medjuck is Professor Emeritus at Mount Saint Vincent University with a PhD from York University (1978). She has served as Chair of Sociology/Anthropology and Women’s Studies, Dean of Arts and Science, and held external roles including Commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.
Her research examines the socioeconomic consequences of caregiving for employed women and issues of ethnic identity maintenance. Funded projects include a SSHRC alliance on women’s unpaid caregiving ($1.7M) and a CIDA-funded international initiative on Women’s Studies program development.
