Sherri Raney

Dr. Sherri Raney is a Professor of History and Political Science at Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU). She teaches courses in European Civilization, Modern Civilization, Russian History, German History, International Relations, and Comparative Politics. Raney holds a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from Oklahoma State University, and a Ph.D. in History from Oklahoma State University, with a dissertation focused on Princess Catherine Romanovna Dashkova.

In Fall 2012, she served as a Fulbright Scholar teaching in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Her research interests center on Russian and European history, political systems, and international relations. She has been affiliated with OBU for an extended period, contributing to both teaching and academic leadership in her field.
