Sherie M. Randolph is an Associate Professor of History at the Georgia Institute of Technology, affiliated with the School of History and Sociology. She co-directs the Black Feminist Think Tank, a project advancing intersectional scholarship and activism. Her research bridges Black Power, civil rights, feminist movements, and gender studies. She previously held an Associate Professor position at the University of Michigan and served as Associate Director of the Women’s Research & Resource Center at Spelman College. Randolph’s work has been supported by prestigious fellowships, including from Emory University and the Schomburg Center.
Her first book, *Florynce “Flo" Kennedy: The Life of a Black Feminist Radical*, examines intersections of Black Power and feminist movements. She is currently researching Black women artists and editing a *Signs* symposium on Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham’s seminal work. Awards include fellowships from the University of Connecticut’s Humanities Institute and Brown University’s Howard Foundation. She teaches courses on social movements, gender, race, and African American history.
Her advocacy extends beyond academia through the Black Feminist Think Tank, which emphasizes intersectional approaches to combat systemic oppression. Plans include collaborative book projects and gatherings to sustain black feminist scholarship and activism.
