Sheena Kerr

Sheena Kerr is a Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, affiliated with the College of Engineering and the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Her research focuses on developing microphysiological systems (MPS) to model complex disease microenvironments, particularly the tumor microenvironment (TME) and immune responses in allergy and infectious disease.

Her work emphasizes precision medicine applications, utilizing patient-specific models to study prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and bone metastases. These systems aim to bridge the gap between in vitro and in vivo models by recapitulating multicellular interactions and architecture with minimal cell input.
