Shawna Bendeck

Shawna Bendeck is an Instructor and Sociology Internship Coordinator at Colorado State University's Department of Sociology within the College of Liberal Arts. Her work bridges sociological theory with applied research on disasters, social capital, and youth/family dynamics. She holds a PhD in Sociology, MA in Clinical Sociology, and BA in Sociology from unspecified institutions.

Her research focuses on disaster resilience, social capital's role in marginalized populations, and the impact of crises on educational equity.
