Shawn Hill

Shawn Hill is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Liberal Arts Division at Montserrat College of Art. He has been teaching since 2003 and focuses on Modernism, Dada, Surrealism, and the History of Photography. His work includes writing catalog essays, curating exhibitions, and judging grant applications. He holds a BA in Studio Art and an MA in Art History.

His research emphasizes translating visual culture through formal analysis, bridging written and spoken discourse. He is a member of AICA, the International Association of Art Critics (UNESCO NGO). His professional activities include exhibiting his own paintings and prints in solo/group shows and contributing to Boston/New England art publications since 1990.
