Sharon Ross

Sharon Ross serves as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Maine at Augusta, where she teaches courses including College Writing, Writing for Allied Health, Professional Writing, and Grant Writing. With over 15 years of teaching experience in writing and communications across Maine’s community colleges and universities, she combines academic instruction with a 20-year career as a professional writer. Her work has been published in outlets such as the Portland Press Herald’s Raising Maine, The San Bernardino Sun, CalCPA, Pacific Review, and Lake Effect.

Dr. Ross holds an M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction and Fiction from the University of Southern Maine (2007) and a B.A. in English from California State University San Bernardino (1996). Her research and professional interests intersect creative writing, professional communication, and interdisciplinary writing education.
