Sharon Persons

Sharon Persons serves as Associate Teaching Professor and Director of the Law Library at Northeastern University School of Law, where she teaches upper-level writing and research courses while providing strategic leadership for all law library operations including administration, outreach, and instructional support.

Her educational credentials include:

• BA in History from Columbia University (1992)
• JD from Stanford Law School (1996)
• MLIS from Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science (2004)

Her professional expertise spans Civil Litigation, Housing Law, Legal Research and Writing, and Information/Digital Literacy, informed by eight years of practical experience across diverse legal settings including small law firms, reproductive rights non-profits, housing advocacy organizations, and clinical instruction at Harvard. She integrates this practice background into experiential learning initiatives that prepare students for legal careers.

As Law Library Director, she manages three attorney librarians and two professional staff while driving strategic initiatives including space redesign, staff development programs, and digital literacy integration across the law school curriculum.
