Sharon Kimberly Williams, D.Litt, is a Clinical Lecturer of Religion and Cultures and Director of Peace and Justice Studies at Iona College. Her work focuses on interdisciplinary studies in religion and cultures through Africana, Black Church, and global south traditions, emphasizing intersectionality of race, class, and gender. She holds a Doctor of Letters from Drew University, a Master of Arts in Theology, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Howard University.

Her research explores music and spirituality in social activism, health equity, and the study of peace/violence through spirit and justice. She is completing a book manuscript, Breath | Voice | Fire, a collection of creative non-fiction essays. She has presented at global forums like Johns Hopkins Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, focusing on religion, health, and social justice.

She directs Peace and Justice Studies at Iona and collaborates with institutions like the Religion and Global Health Forum and Social Justice Leadership Project. Her work bridges music, theology, and activism for marginalized communities.
