Sharon Cannon

Sharon Cannon is a Clinical Professor of Management and Corporate Communication at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She teaches written/oral communication to undergraduate, MBA, and PhD students, integrating intercultural simulations and holding certifications in GlobeSmart Profile, Cultural Orientations Indicator, and Intercultural Edge.

• BA in English and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis

Her research focuses on business communication dynamics, emphasizing intercultural competence, gender differences in professional settings, and presentation effectiveness. She designed undergraduate electives on intercultural communication and leads global immersion programs to Japan.
