Sharif Al-Rousi

Sharif Al-Rousi is a Lecturer in Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) at Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia. His work focuses on mental health training, family support services, and multi-agency collaboration in child welfare.

With 15 years of experience in Local Authority Children's Services, he led initiatives such as the Troubled Families Programme and served as a mentor for the National Professional Qualification for Integrated Centre Leadership (NPQICL). He has also held commissioning roles in children's emotional wellbeing services.

His research centers on improving psychological wellbeing among mental health trainees, culminating in a recent systematic review published in the Journal of Mental Health Training, Education and Practice. This work highlights strategies for enhancing trainee resilience through psychological interventions.
