Dr. Shari Renee Metzger (Jurik) is an Adjunct Professor in the Applied I/O Psychology program at George Mason University (GMU) and has served as an adjunct instructor of introductory I/O Psychology statistics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC)- Shady Grove campus since Fall 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from UMBC's main campus, where her dissertation explored children's math utility conceptions and their relationship to parental perceptions of math achievement. Her research focuses on schooling, educational development, children's mathematics perceptions, motivation, home experiences, and program evaluation.
