Elliot D. Lasson

Elliot D. Lasson is a Teaching Professor and Director of the Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology Graduate Program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), with affiliations to both the Department of Psychology and Department of Public Policy. His work bridges academic training with real-world HR applications.

• M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Wayne State University

His research focuses on generational differences in the workforce, personality and integrity assessment for selection, employment interviews, performance management systems, and the intersection of religion and workplace dynamics. He also explores cross-cultural perspectives in organizational psychology and workforce trends.

As program director, Dr. Lasson facilitates internships and job placements for students, while teaching courses on legal issues, job analysis, assessment methods, and applied social psychology. He leads the USG Faculty Committee and contributes to psychology and public policy curriculum development.

Dr. Lasson’s professional expertise spans job analysis, selection system design, workplace crisis intervention, HR expert testimony, and executive coaching. He holds advanced certifications from SHRM, HRCI, and the American Board of Professional Psychology.
