Shang-Ming Zhou is Professor of e-Health at the University of Plymouth, directing the Centre for Health Technology and NHS Kernow Datalab. He holds affiliations with Health Data Research UK.
His research develops AI methods for health informatics, focusing on explainable machine learning for electronic health records analysis. Funded by HDRUK, MRC, and NSF, his projects address disease phenotyping, polypharmacy patterns, and clinical decision support systems.
