Sergio Fanella is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. He holds cross appointments in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. As a pediatric infectious diseases specialist, he leads the Pediatric ID subspecialty residency training program and directs the Year 1 medical student Infectious Diseases and Therapeutics Block. His research focuses on antimicrobial stewardship, telemedicine applications in pediatric ID, and blastomycosis management.
