Mr. Sen Li is a Research Fellow at the School of Geography and Sustainable Development, University of St Andrews. He joined in 2024 after completing his PhD in Geography and Resource Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2020–2024). His research focuses on population migration, urban development, and family demography, with a current emphasis on intergenerational geographic proximity in the UK and China. He employs quantitative methods, including spatial and econometric analyses.
He is affiliated with the Bell-Edwards Geographic Data Institute and Population and Health Research groups. His publications explore migration dynamics in China, spatial heterogeneity in migration determinants, and remittances' economic impacts. His work bridges demographic trends, urban planning, and policy analysis.
