Sebastian Sobecki

Sebastian Sobecki is a Professor of Medieval English Literature and Culture and Professor of Old Germanic at the University of Groningen's Department of English Language and Culture. His research focuses on English literature from Chaucer to the Reformation, encompassing palaeography, archives, manuscripts, authorship, literary culture, law and literature, political writing, intellectual history, and global medieval literature. He currently leads a project examining scripts and scribes in England’s central writing offices and law courts during the late fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
