Dr Sean Pert is a Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Division of Psychology Communication and Human Neuroscience. He holds HCPC registration and is Chair of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). His roles include clinical supervision for the NHS Indigo Gender Service and academic leadership in speech therapy education.

- University of Manchester Pandemic Pedagogy Teaching Award (2021)
- Volunteer of the Year (2018)
Advising & Grants:
- Co-supervisor for DClinPsy and Educational Psychology research projects
- Contributor to the NHS-commissioned LIVELY project evaluating language interventions
He leads Out in the Valley, an LGBTQ+ support group in Calder Valley, and co-founded the award-winning trans voice workshops with the LGBT Foundation.
