Sean Newcomer

Dr. Sean Newcomer is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), where he conducts research on physiological requirements of recreational surfing and cardiovascular adaptations to exercise. His work focuses on aerobic capacity, paddling efficiency, oxygen uptake, heart rate, thermoregulation, and mechanics in collaboration with Dr. Jeff Nessler at CSUSM's outdoor surf laboratory.
