Sean M. Handley

Sean M. Handley is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Management Science at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He holds the title of Distinguished Moore Research Fellow. Previously, he served on the faculty at the University of Notre Dame and Rutgers University.

• Education: Ph.D. and MBA from The Ohio State University; B.S. in Industrial Management from the University of Cincinnati.

His research focuses on challenges in managing outsourced business processes, including inter-organizational relationships, offshore outsourcing, quality management in manufacturing, and healthcare information systems sourcing. He has published in top journals like Journal of Operations Management and Production and Operations Management.

Teaching includes courses on operations/supply chain management, process analytics, and procurement. He serves on editorial boards for Production and Operations Management and Journal of Supply Chain Management, and is an associate editor for Journal of Operations Management.
