Sean Hamilton

Sean Hamilton is a Lecturer of Music at Colorado Mesa University, specializing in experimental percussion, composition, and improvisation. He holds dual Master of Music degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Composition from the University of South Florida, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Slippery Rock University.

His research explores the intersection of composed structures and improvisation, drawing from avant-garde traditions, electroacoustic practices, and noise/sound art. He has performed internationally with groups like the Racer Sessions and SEAMUS National Conference, and presented clinics at institutions including New York University and Goldsmiths University of London. As an audio engineer, he has supported major events such as the Vail Jazz Festival and Wyoming Symphony Orchestra.
