Sean Ahern

Dr. Sean Ahern is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Arts at Wayne State College. He teaches Sports Writing, Radio Production, and Radio Workshop while advising campus radio station KWSC-FM 91.9 The Cat. His research examines sports media narratives and material culture.

Education:

• B.A. in Communication Studies, Colby-Sawyer College

His scholarly presentations analyze topics like hockey broadcasting montages, basketball in geopolitical contexts, and radio station revitalization. Ahern received a 2018 College Radio Station Grant from the College Radio Foundation to support station infrastructure improvements.
