Beatriz Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Design at Wayne State College, teaching printmaking and drawing. She holds an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Miami and a BFA in Fine Arts (cum laude) from Florida International University. Her artistic practice focuses on relief color-reduction woodcuts and Plexiglas drypoint printing, exploring themes of human and emigrant experience through detailed visual narratives.

Her work has been exhibited at Yellowstone Art Museum, Remarque Print Workshop (NM), FAR Gallery (FL), and H Gallery (CA). Publications include Saw Palm: Florida Literature and Art and Voyage Magazine Miami. She previously taught at the University of Miami and collaborated with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Florida. Rodriguez cites influences from Belkis Ayón, Frida Kahlo, and Roberto Fabelo.
