Satish Joshi

Satish Joshi is a Professor at the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics within the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources at Michigan State University. He joined the faculty in 2000, specializing in environmental and natural resource management, policy analysis, and corporate sustainability. His research focuses on environmental life cycle analysis, biofuels, biobased materials, healthcare policy, and economic-environmental performance trade-offs.

Education: Ph.D. in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, PGDRM from the Institute of Rural Management (India), and B.Tech. from Karnataka Regional Engineering College (India).

Research interests include environmental policy design, corporate environmental management practices, sustainability accounting systems, and the economic implications of renewable energy technologies. He has published extensively on topics such as biofuel sustainability, lifecycle assessment methodologies, and healthcare quality metrics.

Teaching areas encompass Ecological Economics, Environmental Economics, Corporate Environmental Management, and Public Policy Analysis. His work integrates interdisciplinary approaches to address complex challenges in resource management and sustainability.
