Sarah Zaman

Dr. Sarah Zaman is a Principal Research Fellow at the Westmead Applied Research Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. Her work focuses on cardiovascular disease, women's heart health, and clinical research. She has contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed articles, including high-impact studies in The Lancet and Circulation. Her research integrates machine learning with clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients with coronary artery disease and spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). Dr. Zaman leads initiatives addressing gender disparities in cardiology and cardiovascular risk management post-pregnancy complications.

Her current research students include Carina CHUY, Quan DANG, Chloe TREVOR, and Edwina WING-LUN, focusing on topics like conversational AI for heart failure management and SCAD care protocols. She collaborates with institutions globally to advance SCAD research through the ANZ-SCAD registry and advocates for women's cardiovascular health through clinical trials and policy advocacy.
