About
Dr. Richard Good is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Ischaemic Heart Disease and Honorary Consultant at the School of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health, University of Glasgow. His research focuses on cardiac diseases with particular emphasis on ischaemic heart disease, cardiovascular epidemiology, and biomarker analysis. He leads studies on coronary microvascular dysfunction, drug-coated balloon applications, and post-myocardial infarction therapies. Current grants include EPSRC-funded work on coronary artery calcification quantification and Scottish Funding Council-supported computational modeling of right ventricular function post-lung resection.
- Research Groups: Biomarkers, Cardio-oncology, Imaging Data
- Key Projects: EMPRESS-MI trial, GNOCCI Study, CorMicA trial analysis
His publications (2022–2025) emphasize clinical translation of computational models, pharmacological interventions for heart failure, and PCI optimization. He supervises PhD student Shiting Huang in computational cardiac modeling.
Grants: EPSRC Centre for Future PCI Planning (2024–2028), Scottish Funding Council (2024–2025).
