Sarah Wood is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Warwick's Faculty of Arts. She holds a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford and has taught at Oxford and University College London prior to joining Warwick in 2014.

Her 2025 publications analyze Sir Gawain textual puzzles and Piers Plowman quotation practices, following 2024's exploration of fire symbolism in Langland's poem. Earlier work examined manuscript variations in Piers Plowman versions and religious text adaptations. She received the 2017 Editor's Choice award for medieval scholarship and a 2016 Editors' Choice recognition. Previously served as Huntington Library Research Fellow (2013-14).
