Dr. Sarah Mountz is Associate Professor at the University at Albany School of Social Welfare. With a PhD from University of Washington and MSW from Columbia University, her research examines LGBTQ youth in child welfare, juvenile justice, and homeless systems. Her community-based participatory research (CBPR) project 'From Our Perspectives' documented experiences of LGBTQ former foster youth through qualitative interviews and photovoice methods, resulting in art installations and documentary outputs.
