Sarah Layman

Dr. Sarah Layman serves as Dean of the School of Education and Speech-Language Pathology, Director of Teacher Education, and Professor of Education at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. She holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum from the University of Oklahoma (2009).

Her educational background includes expertise in elementary education, curriculum design, and instructional leadership. Layman's professional experience includes K-12 teaching as a third-grade teacher and gifted resource coordinator.

Awards include the Young Educator Award (2007) and Teacher of the Year (2008). She maintains professional memberships with the National Council for Social Studies and Oklahoma Association for the Gifted, Creative and Talented.
