Dr Sarah Jane Ellis is a postdoctoral research fellow and clinical psychologist at UNSW, with affiliations at the Kids Cancer Centre, Sydney Children's Hospital, and the Department of Reproductive Medicine, Royal Hospital for Women. Her work focuses on improving psychosocial outcomes for individuals facing chronic illnesses, fertility challenges, and pregnancy loss, with an emphasis on translating research into real-world applications.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts-Psychology (Hons) and Bachelor of Health from Macquarie University; Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and PhD from the University of Sydney.
Her research includes the development of evidence-based interventions like CAT NAP: Carers at Night in Pediatrics, addressing sleep issues for parents of children with cancer. She integrates clinical psychology with public health frameworks to support vulnerable populations, including children with cancer and their families, as well as individuals experiencing fertility-related stress.
