Sarah Galloway

Dr. Sarah Galloway is a Lecturer at the University of Stirling, specializing in adult and further education. She contributes to the Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE) programme and previously directed the Access to Degree Studies in Higher Education programme. Her affiliations include editorial roles with the Studies in the Education of Adults and International Journal of Lifelong Education, as well as membership in the British Educational Research Association (BERA) and association with the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research.

Her research focuses on equality, emancipation, and critical pedagogy in education, particularly in adult literacies, prison education, and STEM learning. She has collaborated on projects like the European Commission-funded REAL Project, developing resources for adult educators across Europe. She served on the National Strategic Forum on Adult Learning Working Group (2016-2019), advancing Scotland's adult learning ambitions.
