Sarah Friedman

Dr. Sarah Friedman is an Assistant Professor in Earth Science at Montana State University Billings (MSUB). She is recognized for her research on V-shaped ridges and troughs in the North Atlantic Ocean through the International Ocean Discovery Program and her commitment to student success, particularly for students with disabilities.

Her research involves analyzing magnetic properties of rocks using advanced tools like the scanning electron microscope, following a 2021 drilling expedition. She also partners with the Bighorn Basin Paleontological Institute to lead field paleontology courses.
