Sara Rue

Sara Rue serves as the Assessment & User Experience Librarian and Assistant Professor at Wichita State University Libraries, having joined the institution in 2016 as a Reserve Specialist before transitioning to her current role in 2024. She provides liaison services and library instruction to the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College, College of Innovation and Design, and Philosophy and Law departments.

Her research centers on optimizing library user experiences through systematic data collection and analysis, with specific focus on assessment methodologies and human-centered design principles in academic library environments. She actively applies UX frameworks to evaluate service effectiveness and space utilization across campus.

Sara Rue operates within the Research and Information Services division of University Libraries, maintaining office hours from 7am-4pm Monday-Friday in Ablah Library room 122F. Her work directly supports institutional goals for user-centered resource development and community engagement.
