Dr Sara Calderón is a Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow in Primary Care at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London. She is a practicing General Practitioner (GP) in Tower Hamlets, London, and balances clinical work with academic research. She holds an MBBS from the University of Zaragoza (2012), an MSc in Primary Care Research from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2018), and a PhD from Queen Mary University of London (2023).

Current projects include evaluating social prescribing in the NHS using primary care electronic health records and exploring its adoption in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Dr Calderón has secured grants from the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, ESRC, and the Currier’s Millennium Healthcare Bursary. She also collaborates with the WHO Collaborating Centre for Quality and Equity in Primary Health Care Systems, analyzing GP migration trends and Spanish primary care system performance.
