Dr. Michael Naughton is an NIHR In-Practice Fellow and Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London's Wolfson Institute of Population Health. He works as a GP at Bromley by Bow Healthcare in Tower Hamlets and serves as the Tower Hamlets Clinical Lead in Medicines Optimisation for NHS North East London Integrated Care Board. His research focuses on improving prescribing practices, reducing polypharmacy, and advancing healthcare sustainability. He chairs a sub-group addressing over-prescribing and collaborates with institutions including King's College London and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Naughton holds an MBChB from the University of Sheffield and completed GP Academic Clinical Fellowship training at King’s College London.
