Dr. Sara Bernard is a Lecturer in Societal Transformations at the University of Glasgow's Centre for Southeast European Studies (CEES), where she joined in January 2020. Previously, she taught at Goldsmiths, University of London. She holds a PhD in History from the University of Regensburg (2016) and degrees from the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on 20th-century international migration, with particular emphasis on the Cold War era and South/Southeastern Europe. She is a coordinator of the European Labour History Network's Labour Migration History Working Group and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (2019).
