Sangaralingam Ramesh

Dr. Sangaralingam Ramesh is a Lecturer (Teaching) at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), University College London (UCL). He holds a PhD in Economics from SOAS, University of London (2009) and a Master of Science in Economics from SOAS (2002). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2013). His research focuses on political economy, development economics, and communication studies, with a particular interest in sustainable development goals such as No Poverty and Industry/Innovation.

Dr. Ramesh has extensive teaching experience across multiple institutions, including UCL, Oxford University, King’s College London, and the University of Buckingham. He has developed online courses on macroeconomics, microeconomics, and the history of economic thought. His publications include three notable books analyzing political economy dynamics in China, India, and Japan.
