Sandy Trapani

Sandy Trapani is a Teaching Professor in French and Chair of the Department of Language and Cultural Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has been a member of the department since 1994.

Education:

• MA in French Literature from the University of Missouri-Columbia
• Graduate coursework at Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, France

Her academic work focuses on language pedagogy, curriculum design, and experiential learning. She integrates film and technology into courses and directs the French Summer Language Program in Strasbourg, France.

Professional Engagements:

• Certified OPIc rater for Language Testing International
• Collaborated with textbook publishers (McGraw Hill, Cengage Learning) as a reviewer and consultant
• Presented at national and regional conferences on language program development and articulation
