Sandra Trapani

Sandra Trapani is a Teaching Professor of French and Chair of the Department of Language and Cultural Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has been with the department since 1994, contributing to language education through innovative teaching methods and leadership in program development.

Her research focuses on French language pedagogy, curriculum design, and language program articulation. She integrates film and technology into language acquisition courses and promotes experiential learning via initiatives like the French Summer Language Program in Strasbourg, France, service-learning courses, and immersion weekends.

Sandra actively collaborates with textbook publishers, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for McGraw Hill and a World Language Development Partner for Cengage Learning. She is a certified OPIc rater for Language Testing International, furthering her impact on language assessment standards.
