Sandra Castro Gonzalez

Sandra Castro González is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Business Organization and Marketing within the Faculty of Administration and Business Management. She is part of the Institute of Agricultural Biodiversity and Rural Development (IBADER) and contributes to the Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources (BioReDes). Her research focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR), consumer behavior, and sustainable practices in marketing and sales. She holds a PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2017), with a thesis titled Corporate Social Responsibility from the Perspective of the Sales Force: Antecedents and Consequences.

Her research interests include the intersection of CSR with sales performance, ethical leadership, consumer financial vulnerability, and the impact of technology in tourism and agri-food sectors. She collaborates with research groups such as ASAVDNA (Sensory Analysis and Food Development) and POSMARK (People, Sustainable Organizations, and Marketing).

Her recent work examines smart tourism technologies, consumer advocacy behaviors, and the role of emotions in shaping loyalty towards sustainable products. She has also explored financial literacy, self-control mechanisms in debt decisions, and generational differences in sustainability preferences, particularly among Gen Z.

Her academic contributions span over 35 peer-reviewed articles in journals like Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Cleaner Production. She actively participates in national and international conferences, focusing on CSR implementation strategies and consumer-centric marketing frameworks.
