Sandra Borges is a Research Scientist at the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF) within Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology from UCP, complemented by postgraduate studies in Analytic Toxicology. Her research focuses on developing sustainable bioactive materials and probiotics, with applications in healthcare, wound healing, and food innovation. Key projects include B4Brain (neuroprotective therapies) and BUGS@PETS (insect-based pet food ingredients).
