Samuel E Perry is an Associate Professor of East Asian Studies at Brown University, affiliated with the Department of East Asian Studies and Comparative Literature. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago and has conducted extensive research in Japan and South Korea. His work focuses on cultural history, queer studies, and the historical relationship between Japan and Korea. Perry has published widely on topics including Korean and Japanese literature, translation, and revolutionary cultural movements.
