About
Samir Zahirović is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Novi Sad, specializing in the Department of Algebra and Theoretical Computer Science. His research focuses on algebraic and combinatorial properties of graphs associated with groups and algebraic structures, particularly power graphs, enhanced power graphs, and structural analysis of finite and nilpotent groups.
He holds a Ph.D. and actively contributes to theoretical research in group theory, graph theory, and abstract algebra. His work bridges algebraic structures with graph-theoretical methods, exploring topics such as forbidden subgraphs, torsion-free groups, and nilpotency classes.
Recent publications (2018–2024) emphasize power graphs of nilpotent groups, torsion-free groups, and combinatorial properties of algebraic constructs. His research also delves into Mal’cev conditions in universal algebra and structural properties of stepeno-asocijativni grupoidi.
Zahirović can be reached at samir.zahirovic@dmi.uns.ac.rs and maintains a personal academic website at personal.pmf.uns.ac.rs/samir.zahirovic.
