Samina Abidi

Samina Abidi is Professor of Medical Informatics at Dalhousie University, cross-appointed to Computer Science. Her research develops AI-driven digital health solutions for chronic disease management, including CIHR/NSERC-funded projects on remote monitoring and clinical decision support.

Current projects include antimicrobial surveillance dashboards and machine learning approaches for chronic disease risk prediction. She leads the 'Informatics Enabled Patient-Centered Care Services' program, creating digital therapeutics for patient self-management.
