Samiksha Ghimire

Dr. Samiksha Ghimire is a postdoctoral researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and a clinical pharmacology assessor at the Dutch Medical Ethical Review Board (METc Groningen). Her research focuses on optimizing tuberculosis (TB) drug treatments, clinical trial design, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationships. She specializes in alternative sampling methods like saliva and dried blood spots for therapeutic drug monitoring in TB patients. Dr. Ghimire contributes to international projects funded by the EU and national governments, exploring novel TB treatments. With extensive international experience across multiple countries, she evaluates clinical trial protocols emphasizing drug safety and efficacy.

Her research interests include TB drug optimization, pharmacokinetics, and the integration of digital adherence tools with therapeutic monitoring. Collaborations span global institutions, reflecting her commitment to advancing TB treatment outcomes.
