Sam Mickey

Sam Mickey serves as a part-time Adjunct Professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of San Francisco. He has previously taught at Dominican University of California, Pacifica Graduate Institute, and the California Institute of Integral Studies, and contributed to the Forum on Religion and Ecology at Yale.

Research Interests: Focuses on environmental ethics, religion-ecology intersections, and integral ecology. His work explores philosophical frameworks for planetary coexistence, ecological emergencies, and integrating justice into climate change responses.

Publication Trends: Research spans interdisciplinary approaches to ecological philosophy, theological responses to environmental crises, and systemic models for sustainability. Key themes include whole-earth thinking, coexistentialism, and planetary ethics.
