Sally Preece

Sally Preece is a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes at the University of Bolton, affiliated with the School of Psychology and Education. She leads academic and language skills modules for international foundation programs in health, business, and law, supporting students who speak English as a second language.

Her research focuses on English for specific academic purposes and English as an academic lingua franca. Key scholarly activity includes her ongoing doctoral thesis on assessor attitudes toward non-standard academic English variations in engineering master’s theses.
