Sally Grapin

Dr. Sally Grapin is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Montclair State University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a BA from Brown University, an MEd and PhD from the University of Florida. Her research focuses on social justice in school psychology, exploring racial bullying's impact on youth and pre-service professionals' advocacy development.

Dr. Grapin serves as Editor-in-Chief of School Psychology International and co-edited the influential text School Psychology: Professional Issues and Practices. Her work is funded by the American Psychological Foundation and Society for the Teaching of Psychology.

Research interests include multiculturalism, systemic racism in education, and mental health equity. Recent publications analyze racial allyship, intergenerational trauma, and online discrimination effects on academic outcomes. She advocates for diversifying school psychology through undergraduate programs and service learning.

Her scholarship emphasizes ecological models to dismantle white privilege and promote inclusive practices. Collaborations span international studies on genocide survivors' mental health and gender roles in Black undergraduate resilience.
