Saffron Bryant

Saffron Bryant is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Science at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Her academic journey includes a PhD from The University of Sydney and a postdoctoral position at The University of Bath. She has held research and teaching roles at RMIT since 2019, focusing on advanced materials for applications such as cryopreservation, drug delivery, and wound healing.

Research Interests: Saffron’s work bridges chemistry, biology, and physics, with a focus on biomaterials, nanoparticle interactions, and cryopreservation techniques. She explores novel materials for biomedical applications, including antimicrobial agents and nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems.

Professional Activities: Open to supervising Masters and PhD students. Collaborative projects are encouraged. Active in interdisciplinary research, her work has led to advancements in understanding nanoparticle-biomembrane interactions and deep eutectic solvents as cryoprotectants.
