Saeed Khan

Saeed Khan is an Associate Professor at Wayne State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, specializing in Near Eastern Studies within the Department of Classical & Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures. He combines teaching and research, focusing on Middle Eastern history, Islamic studies, and globalization.

His research interests include:

• Middle Eastern History: Analysis of Islamic empires and 20th-century geopolitical conflicts.
• Political Thought: Evolution of Islamic political ideologies and their modern implications.
• Globalization: Cross-cultural interactions and theoretical frameworks.
• Cultural Studies: Examination of Orientalism, Occidentalism, and contemporary identity dynamics.

He has been actively involved in public discourse, frequently commenting on Middle East conflicts in media outlets like X (Twitter) and local Detroit news. He has served as a Research Fellow at the Center for Study of Citizenship.
